This project won "The most creative use of Faux and Decorative Finish, Mural, Tromp L'oeil or Stenciling Application Project" award at the prestigious Fauxcademy of Decorative Finishing Awards in 2004.

This wall started as a blank canvas with a fireplace & mantle.  Mirror and mouldings were added to specifications and an embossed wallpaper border was installed and handpainted with Modern Masters gold paint to highlight the design.

A golden colored surround was created to replace the white marble and tie in with the mural's palette and add some pizzazz to the fireplace.
